The La Alcogida Ecomuseum is made up of seven dwellings which represent the traditional architecture of Fuerteventura. Each house contains artefacts that recreate the daily habits of the islanders including typical games, crafts, livestock and agricultural implements. An educational way to learn about the work and methods used by a people who have successfully adapted to an arid insular environment and flourished.
The traditional activities which are on display here reflect ethnographical elements which, though rooted in the distant past, are still highly valued by the natives as well as the rest of the world.
